Hoop this stabilizer as a base to use with PureShape. Hoop this stabilizer using a Hoop Collar* then lay a piece of PureShape on top of hoop.  Together, this stabilizer and PureShape enables an embroidery design to be trimmed around the design and used as a dimensional embroidery. Hydrostick Tearaway 15” x 5yds

A medium weight tearaway stabilizer with a starch based, water activated adhesive coating. Great for hard-to-hoop items as well as stretchy fabrics. Activate the adhesive on this stabilizer by moistening the stabilizer and adhere to the item to be embroidering.  You can also hoop this stabilizer using a Hoop Collar*, moisten it and adhere the item to the top of the hoop. This stabilizer ensures your item will stay securely in place until you re-moisten the glue to remove the stabilizer. I supplement this stabilizer by floating a piece of medium weight stabilizer underneath the hoop. Once the design has completely stitched, remove the excess medium weight tear away stabilizer then un-hoop the item. In order to remove the Hydrostick stabilizer I recommend putting the item in the washing machine to remove the adhesive from the Hydrostick to release the stabilizer. Once the laundry load is complete, remove the item from the washer and tear away the excess stabilizer. The adhesive on this stabilizer will not gum up the needle on your sewing machine. Fusible Polymesh Cutaway 15” x 10yds

Translucent mesh, lightweight cutaway stabilizer with a low melt adhesive on one side. Use a dry iron on a cotton setting to adhere this stabilizer to the back of a 100% cotton fabric.  This stabilizer gives your fabric some body. With your fabric right side down on your ironing surface, lay a piece of this stabilizer, shiny side down, on top of the wrong side of the fabric. Taking your time, press from the side of the stabilizer, using a dry iron to fully adhere it to the fabric. Flip the fabric over to look for any air bubbles in fabric.  Flip it back over and press those areas to remove bubbles. I keep an unused dryer sheet next to my iron. I run my iron over the dryer sheet before pressing this stabilizer to prevent it from sticking to the stabilizer. Hoop your stabilized cotton fabric using a Hoop Collar*. I supplement this stabilizer by floating a piece of medium weight stabilizer underneath the hoop. Very Important: Once your design is complete, tear away the excess medium weight tear away stabilizer, remove the item from the hoop.  DO NOT iron the 100% cotton fabric after the embroidery is complete.  The Fusible PolyMesh will continue to shrink and cause puckers.  Trim your fabric to the size required for your project. Incorporate the block into your project and press your seam allowances.  Once the project has been quilted, you can iron the block if desired without it affecting the quilted block.  Fusible No Show Cutaway 20” x 10yds

Medium Weight Tearaway 20” x 10yds - 1.8 oz.

Firm, crisp and easy to tear away. Tears neatly around edge of stitched area. Use this stabilizer as a supplement when stitching a design that may need an extra layer of stability. Float a piece of the medium weight stabilizer underneath the hoop once the hoop is attached to the machine (slide a piece underneath the hoop). I float this stabilizer underneath the hoop when using Hydrostick or the Fusible Polymesh (aka Fusible NoShow). Watch my videos to see how I use this stabilizer.

Water Soluble Topping 12” x 10yds

Clear plastic topping used on the top side of fabrics such as terrycloth, velour, loosely knit pique, sweaters, corduroy, and fleece. Improves embroidery quality by preventing stitches from sinking into the pile of the fabric. Can be used underneath areas of mylar if stitching on fabric types listed above.
